Dialogue Evening – Sustainable Consumption
11 avril à 18 h 00 min - 21 h 00 min
In this Dialogue Evening we want to explore:
How can we, as key actors of the Arc Lémanique ecosystem, transform the way we consume and produce to lead the transition to a sustainable future?
Who is this Dialogue Evening for?
This is an invitation to everybody intrigued to explore a dialogue that goes deep into the topic of Sustainable Consumption, and to explore it with a diverse group of people from all kinds of backgrounds.
We are inviting you to take part in a conversation where we want to talk about our relation, ambiguities, experiences and questions we have regarding our very own patterns of consuming and producing.
As a participant you can expect a space for exchange, for learning and for connection. A space where we also wish to let go of the urge to find right answers and produce tangible solutions as fast as possible, and instead spend time on exploring the right questions as well as creating a more meaningful conversation.
📌What is a Dialogue Evening?
Dialogue Evenings are 3 hour exchange and conversation, designed to create an authentic, safe and inclusive space in which we enable conversations between a diverse group of people (who would not usually meet) to explore deep connections and new ways of viewing the problems we are facing.
Dialogue Evenings are designed to shift the conversations we usually have around difficult, complex and sometimes ambiguous topics, from a place of debate & problem solving to one that explores the opinions, experiences, views and questions on a deeper level.
📌 What drives this invitation?
What is the underlying engine driving our consumption and production beyond what our planet can offer?
How is it, that this is no news to us and we still do not seem to have a clear strategy on how to move forward & beyond this unsustainable patterns of consumption?
when we consider that…..
Switzerland consumes 3x the amount of natural resources available in the country itself.
Switzerland ranks second in Europe in waste per capita, at about 700 kg in 2016
Globally, we have lost 52% of our biodiversity since 1970
By 2050, there will be more plastic than fish in the oceans
….it occurs to us that there is a huge opportunity to transform the way we use resources,
but how do we exactly instil a culture of conscious consumption? what gets in the way?
🔎 Who is collaboratio helvetica?
We invite people to join spaces for open and deep dialogue, exploring the biggest challenges of our time, unleashing our collective potential for sustainable solutions that will transform people, organisations and systems.
We organise journeys where we address and explore social challenges (=Quests) together with unlikely allies, to find solutions that tackle the root, rather than fight the symptoms.
Has this sparked a light in you, we would be very happy to get a reply from you, so we can create the best space possible. We only have room for 15 participants this evening.
